In 2007 The Osborne Partnership celebrated it's tenth birthday. That's ten years we have been helping people with learning disabilities into jobs and training

Welcome

Established in 1997, this unique, talented registered charitable organisation strives to offer the best possible work opportunities for people with learning difficulties.

The charity has strong links with local communities forming partnerships with employers, colleges, training providers and the local authority. It has built an enviable reputation, delivering high quality services and obtaining excellent results in both training and work opportunities. The Osborne Partnership is committed to supporting people with learning difficulties in their quest for integration and acceptance in the world of work.

The charities objectives are:

  • To provide employment, training and education for people with learning difficulties
  • To provide real work opportunities for people with learning difficulties.

The Charity consists of three sections the

  • Osborne Partnership: 'in-house' and 'satellite' work training operations that provide accredited, certificated and pre-employment work training programmes which help support individuals whose aspirations include going to work. The charity is an 'EAL' registered training provider delivering accredited NVQ's, and works in Partnership with Barking college delivering a franchised provision of accredited 'National Proficiency Test Council' (NPTC), 'Oxford and Cambridge Royal Society of Arts' (OCR)and National Open College Network (NOCN) training.
  • Employment Network: the Osborne Partnership's own specialist employment agency which secures community based work placements including sustainable paid work, work experience, voluntary work and college course opportunities.
  • Satellite Projects: Community based projects established by the Osborne Partnership to facilitate valuable work experience opportunities and training within realistic working environments including:
    • Valence Work Unit (offering Recycling, Manufacturing, Warehouse and Distribution work experience and accredited training opportunities)
    • Harpers Cyber Cafe (offering Catering, Retail and ICT training and work experience opportunities)
    • Green Team (offering Gardening work experience and accredited 'Skills for Working Life' Horticulture and Conservation training)
