Projects
The Osborne Partnership runs a variety of successful projects that provide not
only practical skills but also promote and enable the development of transferable skills for those with
learning difficulties.
TOP Textile Recycling Collection Service
'TOP' The Osborne Partnership - Textile Recycling Collection service was launched in June 2007 with an
initial pilot covering 10,500 homes in The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham.
The project was set up to allow the Partnership to broaden its accredited training courses, whilst
providing a valued service to the 76,000 residents of the local borough and helping the environment by
reducing landfill.
Working with recycle giants L M Barry, the projects hopes to have recycled over 190 tons of Textiles
by June 2008.
Although the project is still in its early stages it has been supported by the Local Authority,
SHANKS (east) London, ELWA, L M Barry and other local businesses.
