Training
Accredited Vocational Training:
Through training, our partners (beneficiaries with learning difficulties) learn work based vocational skills but emphasis is also placed on gaining transferable skills that open up further employment opportunities following the completion of courses. The accredited training programmes cover areas such as health & safety, manual handling, COSHH and safe operations of tools and machinery. The new skills that partners acquire, help to build confidence and communication, assisting with their integration in the wider community.
Training programmes being delivered in 2009/2010 include:
EAL NVQ Level (1) qualification ‘Performing Manufacturing Operations’
EAL NVQ Level (2) qualification ‘Performing Manufacturing Operations’
NPTC Entry level (2) qualification ‘Skills for Working Life’ (Land-based)
